Minor Home Repair
We offer assistance to older adults that are physically and/or financially unable to repair their homes. The program provides improved accessibility to the home, increased home safety and security, and assistance for some modifications and repairs.
Funding is used for minor home rehabilitation projects such as replacing interior doors, cabinets and vanities and installation of high rise toilets, handheld showers, ceiling fans, smoke detectors as well as minor carpentry and minor plumbing repairs.
Individuals must be at least 60 year old with low income, own their home, and live in the City of Orlando or Orange County. Services and program criteria vary by available funding. Waiting lists exist for most services.
