What We Do
Aging deteriorates and isolates. It strips away our abilities and can leave even the most hearty among us alone, vulnerable and insecure. Without the right support, it can erode our independence, fade our sense of purpose and strip away hope.
To assist the vulnerable elderly in our community with support and to promote independent living, Seniors First provides the following critical programs and services:
1 in 6 seniors struggles with hunger and may not know where their next meal will come from. Seniors First offers two meal options to help older adults (60+) get the nutrition they need. These programs, Meals on Wheels and Neighborhood Lunch, provide seniors with nourished lives and a connection within their own neighborhood.
IN-HOME CARE PROGRAM
We assist low-income, home bound seniors (60+) in Orange, Seminole and Polk counties with daily living activities that have become difficult due to declining mobility and health. Services include Care Management, Personal Care Assistance, Homemaker Service, Companionship, and Respite Care.
We offer additional programs and services geared toward promoting the health and independent living of our community’s vulnerable seniors (60+).
